Polls
Polls are fun to interact with and students love to see the immediate results. If you are on this page you can cast your vote and see the new results.
Visu only allows one vote per user.
Accounts can be set up for free at Vizu.com. It walks you right through the steps, then you will receive the HTML code. Copy and paste the code into the "EDiT HTML" tab.
Here is another example using Blogpolls.
You can put polls in the gadget area. Click design, add a gadget. From the drop down list choose poll, and then create!
There are many free poll sites that all work about the same. Blogpoll you don't have to set up an account. Here are some other sites:

Polleverywhere.com can be accessed by web or by cellphone. It has the option of doing statistical polls, but also text information. Here is an example of text. You can also set the number of times a person can vote, once, twice, three times, unlimited,etc...just like voting on American Idol!
